At Dorking Men’s Shed it became our tradition to hold a barbecue session on the first Saturday of every month.

Thanks to the overwhelming and continuing generosity of our BBQ sponsors The Dorking Butchery we have been able to make donations to the Prostate UK and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund charities.

A big thank-you once again to Gary, Alex and the rest of the team at The Dorking Butchery.


Great news for the garden at Dorking Hospital

Dorking Men’s Shed has, for a long time, undertaken work supporting community projects in the town. For example the local public benches are manufactured to allow periodic renewal and restoration of the wooden slats, and the men’s shed worked in partnership with Mole Valley District Council to refurbish dozens of your favourite seats.

Refurbishing benches having become a theme, this Spring Dorking Men’s Shed will collaborate with Dorking Hospital to restore the garden. Volunteers from the men’s shed will also repair the public seating so that visitors, patients and staff have green and tranquil space to relax in.
